Christian ORIGAS

Christian joined LOHR 30 years ago as an apprentice locksmith, continuing a family tradition which includes seven people over the generations.  After his studies, Christian worked for over seven years as a quality controller on various military markets, managing entire projects from the purchase of the raw materials and production monitoring right through to the functional test phase and presenting the products to the customer for final acceptance. Backed by this experience, Christian moved up to Quality Control Manager for all markets, with 20 people under his management.

With an interest in the end customer approach and wishing to know how our work is perceived outside the company, Christian then turned his attention to the After-Sales branch, providing his expertise as technical support manager. He was also in charge of managing the partner workshop network and setting up and monitoring maintenance contracts.  Christian then worked for the next five years as Manager responsible for maintaining the operational effectiveness of PPT (multi-purpose land carriers) for the French army.

Since 1st September 2018, Christian has been working as Technical Director at LOHR Service. Rigorous and forthright, he is responsible for the entire Duppigheim After-Sales workshop and the Technical hub, including customer training, maintenance contracts and LOHR network workshops.  Christian works in close collaboration with his team and the General Management towards very specific objectives and supervises the continuous improvement of the flow of customer feedback.

Motivated by the technical and human diversity in his work, Christian approaches his managerial functions based on the fundamental principle that one should, to quote him, “allow the other person to speak, listen and analyse”. He is open-minded and is convinced that team spirit is key to providing our customers with top-quality work.
